“The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
Sometimes we wake up in the morning fear stricken. Worried about difficult times looming ahead. Measuring them against our own strength.
The problem with this is that these are future tasks. Not today’s tasks. Not even tomorrow’s. So let’s leave them in the future where they belong and come home to the present, where Christ is waiting for us.
Since Christ is our strength, He has empowered us to handle each day as it comes.
We need to keep bringing our minds back to the present moment. The truth is, amongst all God’s creatures, we are the only ones blessed with the ability to anticipate the future. Yet it has becomes a curse because we misuse it.
If we use our magnificent minds to worry about tomorrow, we only cloak ourselves in darkness. I pray that the hope of heaven will fill our thoughts, and the light of His presence will envelops us and give us strength…amen!
