“Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave.”
1 Kings 8:56
Someday we will understand that God has a reason behind every “no” He says to us in the course of our lives.
So often, we are worried and concerned that our prayers are not being answered. But in the end we see Him working to answer them in a far greater way!
If only we had the faith not to rush into things but to “be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him” (Psalm 37:7), most of our worries and fears would simply dissipate.
Honestly, if we are observant and fair we will recognize that God has never taken anything from us without restoring it many times over.
Yet for many of us if He does not immediately restore what has been taken, we start to waiver in our faith. As if today is His only day to work. As if He cannot manage the concerns of our little worlds. As if we have not seen Him work beyond death (the resurrection of Christ).
It is my prayer that we will wait on God. That we will trust in His word. And that by our patience we will grow exceptionally in His grace…amen!
