Confident Trust

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28–30.

Sometimes in anticipation of what the day will bring, we try to think through our trials…

…but rehearsing our troubles only results in us experiencing them many times, whereas we are meant to go through them only if they actually occur.

Let us not multiply our suffering in this way!

Instead, may we rest in God’s Peace. May He strengthen us and prepare us for the day. May He transform our fear into confident trust. Amen!
