“Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
1 Peter 3:4.
One of the most frustrating things is to find yourself thinking through your meeting strategy in the middle of your quiet time…
…but it’s normal. It’s part of the weakness of being human.
The thing to do when that happens is to simply return our attention to God, and share a secret smile with Him. He understands.
We should whisper His name in loving contentment, assured that He will never leave us or forsake us…even though we constantly leave and forsake Him. His Love for us has no limits or conditions.
In fact, even after our quiet time we should intersperse our day with these short peaceful prayerful interludes..and that way no matter what we face, we will manage the situation with God’s quiet and gentle spirit.
I pray that His strength and power will show themselves most effectively when we are weak…and may the light of God which filters through us be a testimony and a blessing to others. Amen!
