“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
When our thoughts flow freely, they tend to move toward problems.
And very quickly our focus gets snagged on a given problem, circling round and round it in an attempt to gain mastery.
Before long, our energy is drained away from more important matters through this negative focus.
Worst of all, we lose sight of God.
A renewed mind is a mind that is focused on the presence of God.
We must train our minds to seek God at every moment and in every situation.
And when we do this we will find God in everything; in a birdsong, in a loved one’s smile, even in the annoying traffic that we have to sit in every morning.
Other times, we must draw inward to find God, because God is always present in our spirit.
I pray that today we will find Him, speak to Him, and allow Him to light up our minds…amen
