“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.”
When the difficulties in our life feel as if they’re closing in on us, we tend to feel like we need to work even harder at resolving them.
But the thing to do when we feel bogged down with all life’s problems is to liberate ourselves. Turn our backs on all the phone calls and emails…and just spend some quality time with God.
If we do that today, we will experience God’s joy in a way that will transform TGIF from an acronym we just throw out of Friday’s…to a time when we actually thank God that He has brought us to the end of another work week.
As we reach out to Him in prayer, may our problems pale in the light of His presence. And May our feet be strengthened in order that we can climb heights that previously caused us to falter. Amen!
Have a fab weekend. God bless!
