“I will give you every place where you set your foot…”
God promised to give Joshua every place where he set his foot.
God then set the boundaries of the promise, saying that Joshua could have it all on one condition…he and his people had to walk across its length and breadth, and measure it off with their own feet.
Strangely, they never walked across more than one third of the land! And as a result, they never possessed more than that one third.
They possessed only what they measured off and no more.
The expanse of God’s promises are open before us, and it is His will for us to possess all of it…however, how much we possess is entirely up to us.
We must measure off our territory with the feet of obedient faith. That is the only way we will claim and appropriate what is ours.
This morning, I pray that we will enter into and claim our total inheritance in this world.
I pray that we will lift our eyes; both physically and spiritually; to the north, south, east, and west and believe God when He says, “All the land that you see I will give to you” (Genesis 13:15).
Today may you walk right into God’s promises knowing that all the riches abiding in them are yours…Amen!
