There is no ‘part’ in ‘all’

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7

None of us goes to the post office and then only partially hands over our letter.

We all know that in order to get a letter across to someone we must hand the letter over completely to the post office. That is the only way we have any chance of getting a response from the recipient of our letter.

It’s the same with God.

When we have genuine faith in God we hand over our circumstance fully to Him and allow Him to work.

Therefore, as Christians, once we have prayed about a matter, and committed it to God, we should not continue to be anxious about it

God’s command in Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything” is unlimited.

If we truly have cast all our burdens upon God, how can these same burdens continue to pressure us?

If however, we carry them with us to and from the throne of grace…then obvious we have not left them there…and they will continue to haunt us.

Prayer

Dear God, after I have committed something to You, give me the grace to come away, like Hannah did, with no more sadness, no pain, and no anxiety in my heart. Help me to fully believe that You have heard me and will answer me. I ask this is Your Son’s name…Amen!

  1. Those who wait upon the lord shall renew their strength. Father God we pray for the Spirit of waiting, may you continue to direct and guide us good lord to acknowledge that all goodness comes from you as we leave our burden before you. Amen
