“Therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you . . . blessed are all they that wait for Him.”
Why is it that sometimes God waits so long to offer His grace and to provide the answers we seek, even after we have come and waited on Him?
He does so because He is a wise gardener who “waits for the land to yield its valuable crop” and is “patient . . . for the autumn and spring rains” (James 5:7).
That land is us!
Sometimes in as much as we think we are ready for our blessing…we really aren’t…so God waits for us.
God knows He cannot gather the fruit until it is ripe, and He knows precisely when we are spiritually ready to receive blessings for our gain and for His glory…
He knows that it is our waiting under the rain clouds of trials is what will ripen our soul for His blessings.
Be rest assured that if God waits longer than we desire, it is simply to make our blessings are even more precious.
Remember, He waited 4000 years, “but when the time had fully come, God sent his Son” (Galatians 4:4).
Dear God, thank you for reminding me that it is entirely possible that the reason I have not received my answer is that You are waiting on me. Open up my eyes Father, that I may see clearly those areas in which I still need to grow in order that I am ready to fully receive what You have already deposited in me. Amen.
