“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
When we encounter a person who always seems to be on top of the world, we are tempted to narrow our eyes and say, “Something’s off here. No way anybody could be all happy all the time”
But a thankful heart has nothing to do with whether or not things are going well.
We should be thankful because the Lord is good—regardless of what’s going on in our life.
On this last day of the month and last working day of the week, let us each reflect on what God has done for us in just the past 30 days.
I believe that if we are honest in our account, we can not help but give thanks to Him and praise His name.
Dear God, I keep waiting for a time when everything is perfect to thank You for blessing me. But I realize now that I already have so much to be thankful for. Grant me the grace to quit waiting until circumstances are just right before I praise You. I start now by saying thank You for even opening my eyes to just how blessed and favored I really am. Amen.
