“Elisha prayed,”O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.”
2 Kings 6:17
If we allow God to open our eyes…we will see that all the events of our lives, whether great or small, good or bad, are a “chariot” for our souls.
Everything that comes to us becomes a chariot the moment we treat it as such…
or it can be an object crushing everything in its path into misery and despair if we allow it.
The difference is the choice we make…it is not dependent on the events themselves but on how we view them.
If we simply lie down and allow them to roll over and crush us, they will become an uncontrollable vehicle of destruction.
But if we climb into them…they will become chariots of God…waiting to triumphantly take us onward and upward.
Dear God, please open my eyes to see the attacks of the Enemy on my spirit, and teach me how to resist them. When I am down, please remind me that the objective of the devil is to dislodge me from my proper position, by “wearing out the saints of the most High” (Daniel 7:25) through a prolonged siege, until out of sheer weakness I finally surrender all hope of victory. Father, deliver me from that fate, because I know victory is my portion! Amen.
