“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

Psalm 27:13–14.

David’s life was not trouble free and neither will yours or mine be.

But sometimes it feels as though God either does not see or care about our troubles.

David probably felt the same way but the key to his success was “faith” in God.

Through it all, he learned to trust in God and to take Him at His Word. He believed that God would redeem him and bless him…not only in death…but while he was still alive.

We must learn to do same!

We must learn to believe that God wants us to have an amazing life on earth and then everlasting life.

Life is not supposed to be miserable!

Although we go through tough times, the God we serve guides us through the fire and uses that same fire to make life better for us.

Prayer

Dear God, I have spent years allowing the enemy to torment my mind into believing that misery and pain are my portion on earth. But now I realize that You are for me and not against me. I have purposed in my heart that through it all I will trust You and take You at Your Word. Help me to stay true to You. Amen.
