“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
The world has so instilled in us the need for a data driven strategy that it is almost laughable nowadays to talk about hope.
Hope has been relegated to a place for dreamers, and unambitious people.
But hope is far more fact based, academic, and data driven than we give it credit for.
Hope is based on the written evidence of what God has delivered in the past.
Hope knows that there is a goal, and that the goal is worth pursuing, even through hardship and difficulty.
Without hope, we cannot persevere.
Dear God, I’ve implemented all the strategies I know and still the week has not gone exactly as I had planned. Help me to recognize that this is no reason for me to give up. Remind me that even with the best strategy in the world, I must leave room for hope…for the fact that You are sovereign and have proven that You know what is best. Amen.
