Friend in need…

“When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me…”

John 5:6-7

Sometimes the reason we are stuck in our cycle of grief and stagnation is because we have no one to help us.

Jesus cares about and helps people who have no one in their lives. And He does this through other people.

He cares about those who live by themselves. And He cares about those who are struggling emotionally or physically and are looking for a friend.

And sometimes that friend is you or me.

Prayer

Dear God, when I’m down, please send someone to me. And grant me the discernment to recognise when someone is in need of a friend…and the boldness to offer myself. Amen
