“The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”
God wants to bless us even more than we can think to ask.
But the power that produces these blessings comes through brokenness and death. And not just any death, but death by crucifixion.
For each of us, our crucifixion happens when through the various pressures and problems and pain God allows into our lives, we yield ourselves to Him.
These life challenges are used to put the negativity in our lives to death, so that we might be raised to an abundant . . . victorious . . . blessed . . . fruitful . . . powerful . . . Christlike . . . Spirit-filled life.
Dear God, I know I don’t like them, but thank You for the difficulties You put me through. I pray that in all the areas of my life where I must die to self, You will introduce the dis-ease that will lead me to an everlasting cure. Amen.
