Job Review

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…”

Luke 4:18

Have you ever had a job review?

Typically they go well and most of us are relieved when the evaluation is done and we can go back to doing what we do—and try to improve where we need to.

Jesus went to the synagogue, pulled out His job description from Isaiah, and began to read. He outlined why He was going from place to place healing lepers, declaring the good news of God’s love, and inviting others to follow him.

It explains why He was healing lepers, causing the blind to see, and healing the lame. Basically, Jesus was executing His job description.

Jesus before He left, handed over His job description to us and asked us to continue and finish what He started. So how are we doing?

Are we ready for our job review?

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for making Your expectation of me very clear. Help me to serve You faithfully in all that I do. Amen.
