While we wait

“When he saw their faith, he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven you.’ Immediately he stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went to his home, glorifying God.”

Luke 5:21 &25

Jesus in His acts of healing looks at the whole person…physically, mentally, and spiritually.

That totality of healing is why we eagerly anticipate His coming so that we too can be made whole.

And that is what our Advent Season is about. In as much as we are commemorating the first coming of Jesus, we are also preparing to welcome Him into our own hearts and into the world. We need Him so that we may be healed as individuals and as a world.

Dear God, I know some of my difficulties but I know You know them all. As I fast and pray this Advent in preparation for Your coming, please heal me and continue to make me whole. Amen.
