I am the Lord’s servant

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”

Luke 1:38

Mary had no status. She came from a village with a somewhat negative repute…and yet of all the people in the world…she was called, chosen, and overshadowed with God’s Spirit.

Naturally, her initial response was fear. But, that quickly shifted to one of total trust in God’s plans. That is what God expects from us. He understands our fear…and He knows it’ll probably never fully dissapear…but He requires our total trust in Him.

As we prepare for Christmas and the new year, let’s remember that none of us is exempt from being called to do something exceptional for God. In fact, we should expect that call and be prepared to rearrange our entire life and say to the Lord, “I am the Lord’s servant…May your word to me be fulfilled.”

Dear God, I hear you call me, but unlike Mary, I’m still asking questions and feeling doubtful. Give me the strength to overcome my desire to have everything make sense…and allow me to operate in the realm of faith, to bring honor and glory to your name Amen.

This will be my last broadcast for 2019. As the year winds down and leads us into 2020, it is my prayer that each of us will hear clearly from God with regard to what He desires from us in the new year. I thank you all for supporting my ministry. Your comments, your likes, and your shares have been my motivation to wake up each morning, and write. God bless you!

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a truly amazing New Year.
