40-day challenge

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you.”

Luke 6:37-38

Lately, especially on the internet there are several challenges…like the ‘21-Day Weight Loss Challenge.’ Yesterday I saw one called the ‘30-Day Declutter Challenge.’

Today Jesus has thrown a challenge to us. It’s called the ‘40-day do not Judge or Condemn Challenge.’

Let us strive each day for the remainder of Lent not to judge or condemn. Rather let us forgive and tell others that they are forgiven, and let us make an effort to deliberately perform a daily act of generosity.

If we do this, we will be transformed people by Easter!

Dear God, judgement, condemnation and lack of forgiveness inhibit good and bind up my spirit. Help me to be generous, not by forcing anything from myself, but by sharing fully what You have given to me. Amen

  1. Dear Lord, by Your grace I choose not judge nor condemn but forgive all those who offend me especially those who purposefully do it. May also go out of my way to do good to those who come my way. Amen
